With two decades of professional experience, I’ve mastered my skills in media and communication, project management, storytelling, writing, media research, coaching, mentoring and leadership.
Who am I ?
I’m a mixed-race Canadian multipotentialite embracing my different passions. I’m a TV show creator, writer, director, producer, singer, voiceover artist and a self development coach. I work in French, English and German.
Here is what I have been up to over the last few years:
- Writing 45+ hours of TV and radio content and a first feature film
- Being mentored by top TV industry-tiers
- Participating in the BIPOC film and TV showrunning bootcamp led by Anthony Q. Farrell
- Getting an original half-hour series optioned by a production company
- Directing and self-producing two award-winning documentary series
- Sitting on film festival and TV award jurys
- Hosted my own French radio column on ICI Toronto focused on urban resilience.
- Narrating over 75 children’s books
- Releasing an album and an EP
- Getting a coaching certification
I’m a mixed-race woman born in France and daughter of Malagasy parents. I have Malagasy, Indian, German and French blood coursing through my veins. That fact alone has always made it hard for people to categorize me but, in all fairness, it has long made it hard for me too. It’s been difficult for me to grasp a stable sense of belonging. That’s why I’ve lived in different countries; I became a global citizen, developing a sense of nimbleness, as I explored. That feeling has transformed into a sense of home in Canada.
When I arrived in Canada in 2006, as an adult, a former project manager, searching for my identity. I had always been writing but I suddenly felt an indescribable urge to tell stories, create and help create. So, my new home, Montreal, quickly became a lab where I dared to creatively experiment.
During my time in Montreal, I got my feet wet, writing a short mockumentary about fusing Quebec tradition with immigrant flair in the kitchen. I co-created a web series about world music. I hosted radio shows and recorded audiobooks for the visually impaired. I founded my own voiceover company to market my services and, through my connections, helped uncover opportunities for fellow artists.
After seven years, I was itching for a new opportunity, specifically within the media landscape and went for an opening at TFO in Toronto. It was a management position, but I figured, once I was in, I would work hard to move onto the creative side
I succeeded! A year later, I became a TV director telling stories about Black fashion, male victims of domestic violence, arts, culture, architecture, rare professions and interfaith love. I loved it, but knew that I needed to go out on my own. I have been doing just that since 2017 and I am loving every minute of it!
